Australian Choice

Echoing the distinctive traits of Australian culture, this family-owned store found a new life in its revitalised design.

Offering an eclectic mix of Australian-made gifts and souvenirs, Australian Choice has always founded their business on supporting local quality artists, designers and manufacturers from around the country since 1989.

Standing amongst a promenade of stores, our brief was to create a standout space that effortlessly showcased their unique products. Working closely with the client and builder, we developed a suite of distinct design features that would honour the familiarities of Australia’s landscape and history from the use of new and recycled timbers, curved walls and a striking steel-plated entryway. With a minimal palette, we created a soft yet beautiful space that highlighted every item on display.

To complement the space, a stunning lighting fixture resemblant of Australian gumnuts centred the room as well as a graphic leaf stretched across the ceiling. Stepping inside, Australian Choice now brings a rich sense of Australian authenticity, giving customers the perfect takeaway of the beautiful things our country has to offer.
