The Cosy Renovation

A renovation to a Canberra corner house has transformed  cold closed of rooms to a home of space and light.

An Iconic Canberra corner where windows were retained and updated to give a Mid Century Modern feel, allowing street frontage and providing an abundance of northern light into this charming home.

The original kitchen, dining and family spaces offered neither light nor cohesion which have now transformed into a master bedroom and ensuite.

Keeping these spaces within the existing footprint allowed for a small extension in a way that took full advantage of the northern sunlight and beautiful views of The Woden Valley. These new open spaces mix a modern aesthetic with original character and charm with bamboo flooring, natural stone bench tops and full-length sheer curtains.

Choosing to renovate instead of knocking down has saved some beautiful old Canberra style homes to be enjoyed for years to come.
